Hi I am Gemma Wright, a science teacher from the north of England. I have 16 years experience working in education and have been fully qualified since 2010. I hold current enhanced DBS clearance and I am constantly updating and refreshing my knowledge by undertaking professional development courses throughout each academic year.
I have always wanted to work with young people. Even as a youngster myself, I would go into the early years classes to help out. Throughout my adult life I have undertaken a variety of roles within education and pride myself on the ability to build trust with young people. I have a large bank of resources at my disposal, so I'm able to plan individualised sessions for each of my students.
When I became a Mother in 2017 I decided not to return to work full-time, and since 2019 I have been tutoring science part-time in a large secondary school. In 2020 I also began my own tuition business.
I feel incredibly privileged to spend a little bit of time supporting young people in a critical period of their education. I am immensely proud of the progress that my students make and I look forward to working with many more young people as my business grows.
